Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
- Mary Oliver
If you're a creative person, the answer to that Mary Oliver question is likely:
run in the pull of all that calls to your creative spirit.
So why not live the life that you secretly always knew you were meant to live?

I. Get Under a Reader's Skin: How to Write Poems that Haunt. Write Love Poems that Haunt. Do you dream of writing poems a reader CANNOT forget? That linger in their minds, long after they've read them? Do you want to write poems that haunt BECAUSE you've been haunted? Do you want your grief to be alchemised into a gift? In this workshop, we'll write poems that sneak up the skin of a reader. We will write love poems. Love poems that are subversive. Love poems that don't just kiss, but also bite and teethe and claw. Poems that can't be packed into squares of neat, sentimental boxes. This workshop series is a part of the writing community. Wildflowers are Prayers is now a monthly/ quarterly membership writing community. You can book it in monthly/quarterly instalments.
29th March, 30th March, 6th April 2025. Timing: 10 am EST to 12 pm EST, which is 2 pm to 4 pm UK time, and 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm pm IST.

Here's what you'll learn: 1. Craft poems that create a lingering impact. That are subversive + achingly real. 2. Challenge conventional gender roles & norms through your writing. 3. Master the craft + technical tools of poetry: writing from the body & not just the mind, dream writing, using effective line breaks, finding the "duende" - the soul of your poem. 4. Turn your personal wounds into transformative, long-lasting art. This workshop is for you if: • You're haunted by loneliness, loss, or the "what ifs" of life. • You want to harness your pain and transform it into something beautiful and meaningful. • You're ready to write poems that are honest, vulnerable, and unforgettable.
